8 Ways to Promote Your Business During the Holidays

Written by wemlo Staff | Dec 7, 2021

With the holiday season rolling on, it may be time to consider cheerful ways to promote your business. Whether you’re trying to build more brand awareness or just show your past clients that you care, these 8 holidays items could help you make a positive impact on your target audiences.

Calendar

A photo calendar could keep your business top of mind all year long. Consider partnering with local photographers to feature nearby attractions for each month or opt for artistic maps of the most popular neighborhoods within your market. You could even add items on important dates, such as “Tax Day” on April 15 or “peak homebuying season begins” on March 20.

Coffee or tea

Offering hot beverages is a great way to show you care about the customer and client experience. Local health and wellness stores will have spices and herbs if you’d like to make your own unique blend, or local artisans are sure to offer plenty of tasty treats.

Bar tools

Consider a nice set of bar tools for closing. Whether you keep it simple with a bottle opener and some stirring spoons or spring for the fully outfitted collection, you’ll be top of mind for customers as they pop celebratory champagne after closing.

Local food basket

In the same vein, a food basket or one-time subscription featuring local produce or dishes can provide a warm welcome.

Art

For a heartwarming and long-lasting item, consider a framed piece of art. Perhaps a watercolor of the home or a calligraphy print featuring their new address? Items with longevity, like a beloved piece of art, can help keep you and your business top of mind.

A welcome mat

Did your clients share that they’ll be hosting for the holidays? Help them get a leg up with a new welcome mat. They’re rarely the first thing a new homeowner is focused on buying and are available at virtually any price point.

Something for their furry friends

If you know that your client has pets, consider including them in the festivities. A new bed is sure to go over well, but a treat or toy subscription box would be a holiday miracle. In a pinch, a branded tennis ball could work as well!

Handwritten card

When in doubt, you can’t go wrong with a heartfelt note. Kind words are worth more than any material object, and clients are sure to appreciate your candor. Branded stationery, high-quality envelopes, and festive stamps don’t hurt, either.

As the holiday season approaches, take some time to thank your clients, whether mailing them a card or sending a basket. After all, it’s been a wild year for homebuying and refinancing. They’ll be glad to know there’s a stellar MLO in their corner.
